biking in munich is truly a bliss. compared to the car friendly street design in new york, munich street seems to encourage more of bikers on the road.
max has thought about getting a bike for me since last year. yesterday, we finally got two from a second handed bike shop. 52 euro for two bikes above.
we initially took half hour train to get to the shop, but it only took us around 45 minutes to ride home. it's not bad at all. we ride bikes on bicycle path between the drive way and walk way, it's considerably safe. i really hope we can ride the bikes around in new york city, but it seems just un-doable. you either have to fight with passer-by for walk ways or with cars for drive ways...
now, we can just ride bikes to the city instead of getting there by train. how nice!

you know, i always love biking, but like u said, nyc is not a biker-friendly city. i did manage to buy my blue bike in the upper east side, rode my new bike for about 15 blocks to the 59th st N train station, then carried my heavy bike to the subway...that was like 7 years ago. but biking is a very good sport and eco-friendly too.

i rode the bike yesterday, and my whole body sores today. i wanted to buy a bike in the city too. but just afraid it would be too dangerous.
i did not pay attention to the yellow wheels of your bike (i assume the smaller one is yours)the wheels are so funny...different from regular wheels..much easier to clean

对呀，小的是我的。 那个业余卖车的卖主， 要我双腿间夹了本杂志，然后帮我量腿长，再选适当的车。 看车的横杆高度就知道我腿多长了。lol
我也满喜欢那轮子的。 而且我的自行车有三档的。 爬坡时改档后踩车就不费劲了。 挺好的。
oh...you know what i always want - a Vespa scooter, the mini motorcycle hehe...i see them all the time in Manhattan, and i always turn my head to look at them. a good way to impress people...see this

vespa scooter... seriously... you want one? fits you pretty well. hahah... max's dad has one. very very old, from east germany. there are lots of mini coopers here. but i think i will want a normal car, at least i can take my parents around la...
mini cooper is good for a couple or a single in my opinion.
